Principle
One of our client, a research laboratory has developed an innovative process to prepare transparent fluoride ceramics. This process, using the material CaF2, is cheap and energy-efficient. Besides, it is usable with all fluoride compounds exhibiting a cubic or even a lower symmetry crystal structure.
Main scope of application: laser amplification.
Competitive advantage and development stage
The high transparency ceramics obtained and their laser performance should make it a disruptive technology compared with the expensive single crystals currently used in the industry.
The process is achieved: a prototype has been carried out. Moreover, the invention can be prone to various evolutions.
