Investors

An investor is a natural or legal person who commits financial resources in the hope of obtaining a future return. Investors can put their money into various assets, such as stocks, bonds, investment funds, real estate, companies, or innovative projects, to grow their capital or support economic development.

There are several investor categories:

  • Individual investors: people who invest their own money.
  • Institutional investors: banks, insurance companies, pension funds, or sovereign wealth funds that manage substantial amounts of capital.
  • Business angels: individuals who invest in start-ups or high-potential projects.
  • Venture capitalists: professionals who invest in innovative, high-growth companies.

An investor is therefore someone who provides resources to generate a profit, support a project, or participate in a company’s development, while accepting a certain level of risk.
